Frequently Asked Questions
Can I shower, bathe, or swim with my watch?
The Exocet A3 is water-resistant to 3 ATM, and the Mirage A4 is water-resistant to 5 ATM. Please note that water-resistance is not the same as being water-proof. Your watch can withstand sweat, splashing, or light rain, but it cannot withstand swimming, showering, bathing, diving, or being in a sauna. Furthermore, extreme temperature changes or humidity can negatively affect the sealing material, resulting in degradation of water-resistance. You should avoid wetting your leather watch strap - while the leather is treated for resistance, any significant exposure to liquid can damage it.
How often should I wind my watch?
All Brawer timepieces are automatic (self-winding). Your watch will wind itself using the kinetic movement of your wrist, and features a power reserve of 40 hours. When fully wound, your watch will run for almost two full days. If not worn for some time, however, you may want to jumpstart the power reserve manually. To hand-wind, press in the winder and turn it clockwise. Once it is fully wound, you will feel resistance. Do not wind it past this point.
What is the warranty on my watch?
Your Brawer timepiece is covered by a one-year warranty against any manufacturing faults.
How can I ensure I am buying a genuine Brawer timepiece?
You can ensure you are buying a genuine Brawer timepiece by placing your order at an authorized Brawer retailer, or at brawertimepieces.com. Every genuine timepiece comes with a certificate of authenticity, featuring the piece's unique unit number and a signature of the founder, Edward Brawer.
